The 2018 Planned Giving Symposium
Youth in Philanthropy
Thursday, June 14, 2018
8 am to 12 pm
at Ski Snow Valley (2623 Vespra Valley Rd, Minesing, ON L0L 1Y8)
The Planned Giving Council of Simcoe County is delighted to bring you this year’s Symposium in partnership with the Association of Fundraising Professionals Central Ontario Chapter.
Every day, there are opportunities for Planned Giving conversations, but how many of us are preparing for that conversation with the younger generation?
You asked, we listened!
This year’s Symposium is focused on Youth in Philanthropy. We are proud to welcome our keynote, Aneil Gokhale, Director of Philanthropy at the Toronto Community Foundation, who will present on the real, tested and proven campaign success with TCF’s Vision 2020. Targeting ages 25-45, Aneil will walk us through the objective of the campaign, how they engaged philanthropists under 40, the campaign’s structure, case and messaging. Aneil will share his insights on how he expects this campaign to support future growth, how challenges were overcome and finally, introducing us to a young philanthropist who supports Vision 2020 campaign.
Additionally, we are thrilled to feature participants on this year’s local panel who will each bring a different perspective about being involved in local philanthropy through mentorship, governance, service volunteering and social innovation: Avery Konda, Alison Moody, Doug Moody, and Suzie Addison-Toor.
This session is open to all fundraising and allied professionals. PGCSC and AFP encourage you to share this opportunity with a guest by offering a special discounted rate. All delegates will receive a morning of learning, networking opportunities and a hot buffet breakfast.
